Anjali Manandhar Sherpa is a Sanitation Specialist and the Technical Director of the company. With over 20 years of experience across the NGO sector, the UN system, and as an independent consultant, she has worked extensively with national institutions and a wide array of international partners. Her expertise includes project design and management, technical advisory services, and monitoring and evaluation. Anjali has built substantial knowledge in faecal sludge management through her involvement in both national and international initiatives. She played a key role in developing Nepal’s first Citywide Sanitation Plans and has contributed to the creation of training modules on citywide sanitation planning, non-sewered sanitation, and faecal sludge management. She has also served as a visiting faculty member at the Department of Engineering, Kathmandu University, where she taught the Governance in Sanitation module for the ME/MS in Sanitation Technology program. Anjali holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Technology from UNESCO-IHE (2004) and is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Bristol. He research focuses on strengthening capacities for climate resilience in on-site sanitation systems.
