Dr. Mingma G. Sherpa hails from Junbesi, Nepal, and is a seasoned Environmental Sanitation Specialist with over two decades of experience in sustainable urban water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) systems. He currently serves as the Managing Director of 500B Solutions, where he leads the company’s operations, management, and business development. His key areas of expertise include citywide sanitation planning, faecal sludge management (FSM), application of diagnostic tools and approaches, and the design and implementation of service delivery models. While his work has primarily focused on Nepal, he has also undertaken short-term assignments in Bangladesh, Mongolia, Pakistan, and Thailand. Dr. Sherpa holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering and Management from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. Outside of his professional pursuits, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, and travelling.
