SUSTAINABLE SANITATION PLANNING: METHODS TO SYSTEMATICALLY GENERATE LOCALLY APPROPRIATE AND SANITATION SYSTEMS AND TO QUANTIFY THEIR SUSTAINABILITY

500B played a central role in supporting the field validation and testing of the research. The organization collaborated with local partners to integrate research activities into ongoing urban sanitation planning, facilitating communication and supporting fieldwork and workshops. 500B provided essential technical support, offering feedback on the research approach and implementation, while also supervising data collection. Additionally, the organization ensured stakeholder involvement at the community and municipal levels. 500B organized and facilitated four workshops, managed logistics, and contributed to the reporting and publication of key findings in local, regional, and international journals.
